TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Play for Charity!
Over the past 40 years, Randy Jones has supported & played in hundreds of charity golf events here in San Diego. In 2012, he made the decision to run his own golf tournament with two goals in mind…
Goal 1: He wanted to involve as many local charities as possible, helping them raise awareness and dollars for their own charity. Goal 2: He wanted to find the top amateur foursome from all of the charity golf tournaments played in San Diego. The Randy Jones Invitational has been a huge success with around 1,500 golfers, representing over 200 local charities, that play in Randy’s tournament each year. In 2015, the Randy Jones Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was established to provide kids from military families the opportunity and resources to get involved in sporting and outdoor activities. Here are just a few of the ways Randy Jones and his team have impacted the San Diego community over the past few years:

Play for Pride!
The Randy Jones Invitational now in its 5th year is the only championship golf tournament of its kind in San Diego and is an invitation only event. Teams receive invites for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in one of the hundreds of charity golf tournaments held in and around San Diego County. They play for pride in representing their charity as well as being the County’s best amateur team. 360 teams (1,440 golfers), representing over 200 local charities, will play for free in one of ten Semifinal rounds (compliments of Randy Jones and his affiliated sponsors). The top 3 teams from each Semifinal tournament will qualify to play in the Finals. See the RJI official rules for more details.

In addition, a $10,000 donation will be made to the charity in whose golf tournament the winning team qualified from, the players’ names engraved on the perpetual trophy that will be displayed at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park, and the prestigious honor of winning the 5th Annual Randy Jones Invitational presented by EDCO (San Diego Amateur Team Championship of the year). Additional prizes, awards and gift items will be given out to include $2,500 to the 2nd place team charity and $1,000 to the 3rd place team charity.
